In honor of the arrival of spring and in a shameless bid to acquire more followers, Bromeliad Living is hosting its first giveaway - Frogs for Blogs. The winner will receive two vintage floral frogs, pictured below. One frog is grid style and other smaller frog is needle style.

In addition to holding your flowers straight, floral frogs have also been put to use as pencil holders and paper organizers, as Martha Stewart does below.

You can even make a weird spring veggie centerpiece, as I did, with a grid-style frog and lots of asparagus.

To enter, you'll need to be a follower of this blog and leave a comment below. To double your chances, leave a comment at my article for examiner.com about vintage floral frogs. Both frogs are circa World War I. In the interests of full disclosure, the grid frog has a slight dent in one side. (Hey, it's free.)
I never win these things, but maybe today is my lucky day!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! These are *beautiful* - strange, antiquey, industrial, delicate. Hmmm.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower! These are so neat! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteVery cool!! (already following ofc) :-)
ReplyDeletei'm afraid i'm already a follower so i've not helped with your plans for world blog domination but i do like the look of those frogs even though they look nothing like a frog.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower already, and would totally use it for pencils/paper/mail.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower already too but I really love those frogs! I was just thinking I needed one to make my arrangements look more put together. Thanks for a cool giveaway!

Ohhhh, I love a good giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have those frogs! (I never would have thought of using them for aspargus)
ReplyDeleteI discovered you through YHL, I read you daily, and I would probably accept to pay for international shipping if I win those strange things. All because I like your sense of humour.
