Like Otomi but can't handle the price tag?
Corinne at Threadbanger posted a DIY video where she freehanded the design with markers on fabric and then filled in with paint.
If you're not that talented, Lena Corwin posted free Otomi stencils on Etsy awhile ago.
If you're not that talented either, you can print your stencils on large adhesive stickers as seen at Tatertots and Jello and use screenprinting paint.
If you're not that talented either, you could support indigenous culture and just buy one.
There's a lot of great methods mentioned in this short post for getting the shape or pattern of your choice onto furniture or fabric ... thanks for the inspiration! The Lena Corwin project and download is still available as I just got it; love her simplified take on the style.

DeleteHahaha - no thanks, the free hand work with the markers that woudl be for me.Never thought about it, and haven't got the time right now ( working on a Christams collection for a show in November) but I will do it- I love Otomi..
