Punched tin lanterns at Le Tanjia restaurant in Morocco. Photos by Vicki Shultz via Design Amour. They retail at about 600 euros, which is about a million dollars.
I'm trying to figure out a DIY version. I mostly posted this now so as to have something other than a voyeur squirrel to feature for Hooked on Houses' Friday blog party. In the meantime, there's this at World Market for $30 for the big one.
$30? Holy smokes, run there now and buy one! At least one!
ReplyDeleteHmm... maybe you could use that stiffening fabric goop and wrap a piece of lace around a balloon so that it'll dry in that shape, then pop the balloon and pull it out. I'm not sure where to go from there, but that might be a start...
ReplyDeleteI was thinking that direction, too. Because I sure don't want to poke all those little holes myself.
ReplyDeletesimply lush and sexy.
ReplyDeleteLove it.
$30! Really?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your DIY version!
